Eunice Acker, FLMI, ALHC, MHP, ACS, HIA
President & CEO

Eunice brings to Brokers Alliance a wealth of knowledge & leadership skills, which includes 30 plus years in the health insurance industry. Originally from Middleton, Wisconsin, she attended Madison Area Technical College and Cardinal Stritch College. During her career she has earned the following designations: FLMI, Fellow Life Management Institute; ALHC, Associate Life and Health Claims; MHP, Managed Healthcare Professional; ACS, Associate Customer Service; HIP, Health Insurance Associate. Eunice has been a licensed producer since 1993. She is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and Society of FSP, Financial Service Professionals. Prior to joining Brokers Alliance in 1994, Eunice held Management & Leadership positions within companies located in Wisconsin, Idaho and Iowa.

Eunice is an active member of her church, St. Mark, serving in several capacities. In addition, she is a member of the Sioux City Symphony, Sioux City Art Center, Lakeside Camp, Three Rivers Cosmopolitan Club and the Siouxland Ski Club. When not working or volunteering she enjoys downhill skiing, golfing, running, and flying her Piper Cherokee. She recently received her mountain flying endorsement and is currently working on her instrument rating. She is also a Green Bay Packer fan, which creates lively discussions with the office Minnesota Viking fan. Eunice resides in Sioux City with Donnin Custer and their two dogs: Samoyed, Snowman and English Setter, Buddy.

Terry Cantrell
Director of Marketing & Sales

Terry has been a licensed producer in life, health and annuities for more than 25 years. He has had the opportunity to work extensively in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. Terry has focused his expertise in the employee benefits arena, primary the group health insurance market. He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and earned his HIA (Health Insurance Associate) designation.

Terry and his bride Charmaine have been married for over 31 years. They have made their home in Dakota City, Nebraska for over 25 years. They have four children; a son and three daughters. Terry and Charmaine are also the proud grandparents of three young grandchildren, whom they thoroughly enjoy. Charmaine also enjoys serving others as a flight nurse at Mercy Medical in Sioux City, Iowa.

Terry is an avid fan supporting Nebraska Cornhusker football and the Minnesota Vikings, which can sometimes cause a Monday conversation with Eunice the office Green Bay Packer fan. He also enjoys playing golf and spending time with all of his family.

Marlys Sorensen
Office Manager

Marlys was in the banking industry for 30 years before opting for early retirement and later assuming the position of Office Manager with Brokers Alliance. Marlys resides in her 'empty nest' with her husband Dick of 38 years, and her dog Levi, a 13-year old Vizla. Marlys has 3-sons, Shannon, Mark (and his wife Rachael), and Eric. Marlys looks forward to spending time with her 3-grandchildren, Kaleb, Trenton, Brianna; 2-grand dogs; Chase Dale (named after Dale Earnhardt) and Kody.

Marlys is an active member & volunteer of the Three Rivers Cosmopolitan Club, Sioux City STARS (Special Troopers Adaptive Riding School) and various other organizations. She is especially proud member of the Scarlett O' Hatters Red Hat Society. Marlys has served on several boards, including, PTA Treasurer, Northwest Little League Treasurer, I.A.A.P. Team Leader. After a busy week at work, she enjoys camping with family & friends.

Kolby DeWitt
Marketing & Sales
Benefit Analyst

Kolby is a licensed producer with experience on financial products including life, annuities, Medicare supplements, long-term care, employee benefits and development of strategic solutions to further the client's insurance goals. He is a proud Morningside native of Sioux City, Iowa, and graduate of Western Iowa Tech, where he majored in Political Science. While in college, Kolby became motivated to lead his peers as Student Body President and was highly involved in organizations throughout the community.

Kolby regularly contributes to locally headquartered Siouxland Magazine, where he writes about a variety of topics and local businesses. Kolby is also currently carrying out a three-year term with the City of Sioux City, serving on the Effective fiscal and Public Policy Committee. Kolby spends his leisurely time recreational target shooting. He is a part of the local band, Bootknife, with whom he lends his vocal and keyboarding talents. Kolby is also an alumni member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a Morningside College fraternity that focuses on the advancement of music in America.
